The sewing machine did indeed make it in time for class. However, I would like to point out that I still had the packing tape on it when I brought it to class.
Lessons learned: a hard cover does not mean a hard case and that case gives you a little extra storage space, particularly for electrical cords and foot pedals. I ended up going to Joann's yesterday and purchasing a hard case similar to my daughter's.
The class itself taught me a little more than I learned from my first class, namely how to take off and replace your needle. Because I had read the operator's manual before I came to class, I was able to help two other women wind their bobbins and thread their machines. Not bad for a newbie.
What is one lesson you wish you had learned when you first started out?
